Worship

I'm New Here

Welcome! We are glad you are here. We want everyone who comes through our doors to feel like they belong, so please let us know your needs! We pray that you will be blessed by your time spent with us, and grow in your relationship with Christ.

Church is where His people are.

We worship together every Sunday morning at 10:00am.

Every Sunday morning, our service is led by talented musicians and a variety of musical instruments, including piano, organ, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, and brass. We sing a wide variety of both traditional and contemporary worship songs and lyrics are projected on the screen for all to participate.

Word

At the centre of our worship is the Word of God – our chance to stop, listen, and learn. This is a time of studying God’s Word and learning how it can be applied to our daily lives. Each week’s sermon deals with a different piece of scripture and topic.

Offering

We take up a free will offering during our services to cover both our church’s budget expenses and for a designated Christian charitable cause each week. Participating in the offering is out of your free will. We like to consider the offering as a way to give back to God for the gifts He has given us. Give joyfully as you are able!

Fellowship

We gather after our morning service in the church Fellowship Hall for refreshments and, of course, fellowship! This is an informal opportunity to meet new people and to fellowship with other members of Sarnia First Church.

Prayer

The prayer room upstairs is also always open after the service, and there will be people there to pray for you for whatever concern you may have.

We are a Christian Reformed Church

Called to express the good news of God’s kingdom that transforms lives and communities.

Children are our future.

We strive to make sure our children feel included in our church community. Our future lies in their hands.

Ages 0 - 3

During our Sunday morning services, we offer nursery for all infants and toddlers from newborn to 3 years old. Dedicated, loving volunteers spend their mornings playing and caring for the youngest, so their parents and guardians can enjoy and grow during the worship service.

Ages 3 to Grade 3

First KIDS new curriculum this year titled ‘The Gospel Project’. It will take our kids through the bible beginning to end over the course of the program, and combines all the ages in a unique way! It is our hope and prayer that families in our church can grow together through reading and discussing the same stories (each according organized to their abilities), learning the same songs and memorizing the same versus! We are so excited to watch our kids grow in Christ’s love! Sunday School is available every Sunday morning during our worship service for kids ages 3 to grade 5.

Grade 4 to 6

This group of students study The New City Catechism Curriculum: Lessons for Our Hearts and Minds.
The New City Catechism is a modern-day resource featuring 52 engaging lessons developed from questions and answers. The Curriculum is aimed at helping children and adults alike learn Biblical foundations and core doctrines of the Christian faith. It is designed to help children not only learn sound doctrine but also learn how to
respond to it and live it out in their lives.
